Episode 117: Justice League, Mr. Robot S306

A year and a half ago we reviewed BATMAN V SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE, the worst movie ever made. Less a film than an exercise in abject sadism, Zack Snyder’s sequel to MAN OF STEEL broke film criticism and shattered fan culture. Now, detractor’s of Snyder’s vision live in fear, like rats in the walls of some nightmare-fueled Tomato-Meter, ancient and evil. Nerd rage and terror are its sustenance. God is dead.

It is time to review its sequel.

This week, Two Guys Watch JUSTICE LEAGUE.

Episode 116: Hunt for the Wilderpeople, Mr. Robot S305

Hey all,

This week we talk about the Taika Waititi indie New Zealand flick, Hunt for the Wilderpeople (available on Hulu). We both recommend it wholeheartedly. We also talk about Louis C.K.’s crappy apology, Loving Vincent, this season of South Park, and (after our discussion of Hunt for the Wilderpople) Disney acquiring Fox.

Next week we’re talking about Justice League. Look forward to that.

Episode 112: The Foreigner, Mr. Robot S301

Hey everyone,

This week we watched The Foreigner, now in theaters. We don’t really recommend it, so instead of going and spending your money on it why not just listen to our review? We also chat about the new Star Wars trailer, Big Mouth, Little Evil, Stallone directing the new Creed, and Difficult People. Oh, we also talk about Mr. Robot Season 3’s premiere. Watch that show, dangit.

Next week we finally review It. We hope you’ve seen It.

Episode 111: The Blade Runner Movies, Both of Them

Heya folks!

This week, the boys took a look back into the distant past of the year 1982, to take a look forward into the distant future of the year 2019, with BLADE RUNNER! Directed by Ridley Scott, starring Harrison Ford, Rutger Hauer, Sean Young and Darryl Hannah, this sci-fi neo-noir flick has turned into a cult phenomenon, and Two Guys are here to figure out why!

And then immediately following: BLADE RUNNER 2049! It’s the new one! It’s almost three hours long! Directed by arthouse-auteur-turned-genre-powerhouse Denis Villeneuve, this one stars Ryan Gosling, Harrison Ford, Jared Leto and Robin Wright, this movie is… long. It’s very long.

We’d love it if you’d follow us on Twitter, like us on Facebook, and rate us on iTunes. Thanks for listening!

Episode 109: Kingsman: The Golden Circle

This week, the boys talk all about Matthew Vaughn’s KINGSMAN: THE GOLDEN CIRCLE, MOTHER! again, and podcasts! Also news?

Next week maybe we’ll watch a Harry Dean Stanton flick! Or maybe like a 2017 recap or something. There’s really no way of knowing.

We’d love it if you’d follow us on Twitter, like us on Facebook, and rate us on iTunes. Thanks for listening!

Episode 108: Requiem for a Dream, Mother!, 30 Rock

Welcome to bummer week here at Two Guys Watch.

This week we discuss two Darren Aronofsky films: Requiem for a Dream and Mother! The first is on Netflix and Mother! is in theaters now. We recommend both if you have a strong stomach. These movies are intense. To balance that out, we talk about 30 Rock at the end of the episode. That leaves Netflix on October 1st FOR SOME REASON so watch it while you can if you don’t have whatever other service it’s made its way to.

Next week we’ll be reviewing the new Kingsman movie: Kingsman: The Golden Circle. Should be fun.

We’d love it if you’d follow us on Twitter, like us on Facebook, and rate us on iTunes. Thanks for listening!
